In 2010 the Ministry of Physical Planning, Land and Forest Management(RGB) in Surinam started the Forest Carbon Assessment project. Aidenvironment was hired to develop a monitoring methodology and build the technical capacity of the Ministry and other relevant institutes. WWF Guianas and Tropenbos International financed the project.
Internationally, The Netherlands has been a frontrunner in the area of health, agriculture and water with its 75 Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). In 2010 Aidenvironment conducted a mid-term review of the 54 PPP Millennium Agreements for the Netherlands Directorate for International Cooperation. These joint ventures between public bodies and the private sector were formed to contribute more effectively to achieving the Millennium Development Goals.

Major Dutch energy company Eneco envisages a leading and distinctive position in the field of renewable energy. Between 2007 and 2010 Aidenvironment performed various assignments in support of this ambition. We facilitated internal workshops to create a common vision on biomass within the company. We subsequently advised Eneco on its sustainable biomass policy and developed various tools to implement this policy. These tools enable Eneco to identify sustainability risks in the early stages of sourcing new investment opportunities. In addition, Aidenvironment performed various on-the-ground sustainability assessments of investment in biomass production opportunities in developing countries.

DOEN looks for pioneers who will exert a positive influence on climate change, foster an inclusive, open society, and promote a new economy. The DOEN Foundation's activities are funded with revenue generated by the Dutch Postcode Lottery, the Sponsor Bingo Lottery and the BankGiro Lottery.
One of the initiatives DOEN funds is the Programme on Sustainable Soy and Palm Oil, which, like the Pure Oil Programme before it, has been jointly developed and managed by Aidenvironment since 2003.

The ISEAL Alliance is the global association for social and environmental standards. Working with established and emerging voluntary standard systems ISEAL develops guidance and helps strengthen the effectiveness and impact of these standards. It also works with companies, non-profits and governments to support their referencing and use of voluntary standards.

Netherlands Centre for Indigenous Peoples
Indigenous peoples that are largely dependent on their natural environment for their livelihood are being hard hit by the increasing exploitation of natural resources to satisfy rising global economic demands and the many negative impacts this has on the high biodiversity of their territories.
This study is the first to systematically research and verify the suspected impact of the Dutch economy on the territories and well-being of indigenous peoples. Instigated by the Netherlands Centre for Indigenous People (NCIV), the study identifies and researches the most relevant sectors of the Dutch economy affecting indigenous peoples.
In support of this work, Aidenvironment conducted two case studies in Indonesia (one on timber and one on palm oil). To assess the challenges and opportunities for protecting the livelihoods and well-being of indigenous peoples vis a vis selected economic activities, the case studies take a look at both good and bad practices. In addition, Aidenvironment produced maps charting the production areas and indigenous territories.
