Aidenvironment Presentation at the PRI in Person Conference

On 25-27 September 2017, the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI) held its annual PRI in Person conference in Berlin. PRI in Person is the leading global conference on responsible investment, which offers a platform for PRI signatories and other investment professionals to learn, network and collaborate in person over a three day period. Over 950 delegates attended the conference.

Tim Steinweg represented Aidenvironment at the event and presented during the ‘ESG snapshots: issues to watch in 2018’ session. This session briefly explored a series of trends and emerging ESG issues across sectors. Tim highlighted how deforestation has become a financially material ESG risk in palm oil and that this trend is quickly spreading to other commodity sectors, including soy and cattle in Brazil.

Chain Reaction Research, the consortium of Aidenvironment, Profundo and Climate Advisers, also organized a side-event on risks for investors in tropical commodities.
