Aidenvironment To Assess Impact of Global Development Awards Competition
The Global Development Network (GDN) has asked Aidenvironment to help with assessing the social development impact of its Awards Competition. A survey among award winners will provide insight into the career paths of previous awardees and the changes their projects or research have made.
Since its inception, the Global Development Awards Competition has supported the career advancement of researchers and development practitioners in developing countries and has funded outstanding research and innovative social projects that benefit marginalized groups. In total, the competition has funded close to 400 studies and projects, generating social development impact in several countries.
In an effort to capture, document, and analyze this impact in detail, GDN has asked Aidenvironment to join with them in performing an evaluation study. A survey among award winners will provide insight into the career paths of previous awardees and the changes their projects or research have made. Interviews with winners will give a more personal story about the opportunities winning the award opened up for them. This impact assessment will help GDN to evaluate its Awards Competition and provide valuable material for communicating the impact of its work.
The results will be published in a report in February 2018.
