Aidenvironment/RAIN Facilitates a Roundtable on Acceleration of WASH using Market-Based Mechanisms
On behalf of the WASH Alliance International, Aidenvironment/RAIN organises a roundtable on the business case of land & water during the upcoming World Water Week (Stockholm, Aug 28 – Sept 2). The main objective of the roundtable is to discuss how WASH can be accelerated using market-based mechanisms. Increasing engagement of the private sector and building business cases for land and water are a prerequisite to realise universal access to WASH by 2030 (SDG 6). The WASH Alliance International developed a Business Model Canvas for Land & Water and brought together crucial insights in how to attract new types of (local) financing for this business case. Learning more about the business case of land & water offers many opportunities to solve some of the world’s biggest challenges. During the roundtable we aim to unlock the potential of these opportunities to help NGOs, governments and businesses to bring this into practice.
