Chain Reaction Research received second grant from David and Lucile Packard Foundation

Chain Reaction Research (a collaboration between Aidenvironment, Climate Advisers and Profundo) recently received a second grant from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation for a 18 month period starting in June 2015 top continue our work in conducting sustainability risk analyses and influence decisions  made by investors in the palm oil sector active in Southeast Asian. This project has already had remarkable success in impacting the behavior of growth-oriented Indonesian palm oil producers, who are eager to access international capital markets to finance large scale expansion without sincere commitments to sustainable practice.

In our recently approved grant we aim to:

•    Engage the finance community on No Deforestation policies.
•    Develop In-depth research reports to benchmark individual palm oil companies with regard to implementation of No Deforestation policies.
•    Produce research reports on palm oil companies based on external opportunities, such as upcoming IPOs, to shape the palm oil sector narrative and drive impact.
