Introduction of new staff members

We would like to introduce Tim Steinweg, consultant in the Sustainable Value Chain Cluster and Niels Lenderink, program officer for RAIN, a brand of Aidenvironment.

Tim Steinweg has an academic background in International Development Studies. Prior to joining Aidenvironment in February 2016, he was a senior researcher at the Centre for Research on Multinational Corporations (SOMO). At SOMO, Tim coordinated the Corporate Research program and specialized in researching individual firms. His research ranged from desk-based studies into capital structures, supply chain relations and business strategies, to on-site investigations into human rights and sustainability impacts. Tim has a particular interest in the effects of competitive business strategies on the rights of workers and communities. He has knowledge of the mining, electronics and electricity sectors and has experience working in various countries in Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe. Tim is part of the Sustainable Value Chains cluster.

Niels Lenderink is a hydro geologist who started as a teacher of geography and science in the Dutch secondary educational system. He worked in Asia and Africa for the French NGO Action Contre la Faim and the Dutch NGO WASTE, as project manager, adviser and trainer in WASH. For Aidenvironment, he now manages the WASH Alliance International Programme internally at RAIN, and is programme officer for Mali and Ethiopia.
