Meet our new team members
We are proud to introduce our new colleagues and interns:
Judith joined the Amsterdam office in May and is responsible for office management and communication. Judith has a background as a project manager in advertising. After encountering some health issues, she had to take a step back from her career, but is now ready to start doing what she loves again – organizing everything so that it runs to perfection.
Igan Ayebale holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Makerere University and is currently a student at the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU). He has expertise in administration, finance, and tax. Igan is a member of the Finance and Administration Team at Aidenvironment office in Uganda.
Joshua works for Aidenvironment East Africa as an engineering assistant. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Water Resources Engineering. He is passionate about the use of different software packages and is well practiced in the use of GIS, ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, and Epanet. He is a member of the GIS team at the East Africa office.
Stephen is dedicated to implementing water resources and roads projects. He holds a Bachelor of Civil & Building Engineering, a Diploma in Water, Sanitation & Environmental Engineering and other certificates in water management. He has 12 years’ experience in implementing water and road projects in South Sudan, Sudan, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Uganda. Key aspects of his work are employing water and roads projects to meet economic challenges and solving community problems by introducing affordable technology to increase living standards.
Mengyuan Chen (Marina) is studying for her Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences at Wageningen University. She has a comprehensive environmental background and specializes in the water system and global change, with a solid background in governance, climate change adaption, risk management, water management, and modeling. Her main interests are water quality and scarcity under climate change. Mengyuan joined our Europe office in Amsterdam as an intern to work on rainwater harvesting and disaster risk reduction training in Bangladesh.
Jack holds a BSc in Ecological & Environmental Sciences (University of Edinburgh, 2018) and prior to this studied Electronic & Electrical Engineering (University of Strathclyde, 2013). Jack’s main areas of interest lie in the sociopolitical aspects of conservation, in particular methods to help people get out of poverty while protecting and helping the environment. Jack joined the Amsterdam office as an intern with the Rapid Response Deforestation Team.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences, with a focus on Earth and Environmental Sciences. She is especially interested in integrated water management and climate resilience. Sarah has been working as an intern at the Aidenvironment East Africa office in Kampala since April, having joined our Amsterdam office in February.
