Stop Child Labour – End Term Evaluation ‘Out of Work’ Programme
Aidenvironment carried out an end-evaluation of the ‘Out of Work’ programme of the Stop Child Labour coalition.
Their area-based approach of establishing child labour free zones appears to be quite effective. There are case studies showing the effects of this approach in different supply chains including coffee, garment and natural stone. This could be an effective strategy for addressing child labour as well as other social problems in complex supply chains of different sectors. The relation with relevant policies and education, infrastructure is also important.
