The Dutch Water Sanitation and Hygiene Alliance (WASH) recently organized planning workshops with Southern partners in eight countries (Bangladesh, Benin, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mali, Nepal, Uganda). The results of the workshops will provide input for the 2012 work plans the WASH Alliance will be submitting to the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs which is funding the Alliance.
The workshops helped bolster and further the process of aligning the programmatic planning of the Alliance, and foster the progressive transition from individual partner projects to a coordinated 5-year programmatic country planning with a shared vision, goals and programs. The workshops provided an excellent opportunity for partners to exchange information and make plans together. Incubated by Aidenvironment in 2003, RAIN is one of the WASH Alliance’s six Northern partners.
