Welcome to Our New Colleagues: Joana Faggin and Raymond Tumuhaire!

We are proud to introduce our two new colleagues:

Joana Faggin

Joana has experience in social environment development strategies, with an emphasis on rural development, land tenure systems, community forestry, and participatory planning. She has worked for governmental, international, civil society, and non-governmental organizations. This work experience has focused mainly on Brazil. Joana holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science (University of Brasilia, 2009) and a PhD in Social Science (Wageningen University, Netherlands, 2018). Her main interests concern the promotion of strategies for the sustainable use of natural resources that result in social, economic, and environmentally equitable benefits for direct and indirect stakeholders. Joana has joined our Europe Office in Amsterdam as senior researcher.


Tumuhaire Raymond

Tumuhaire Raymond holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering in Environmental Engineering and Management. He has acquired additional trainings on Integrating Ecosystem Services into Development Planning and Civil Society advocacy and policy influencing on implementation of Integrated Water Resources Management. Prior joining Aidenvironment in September 2018, Raymond worked with the Uganda Water and Sanitation NGO Network, UWASNET. He has also volunteered with the Uganda WASH Alliance programme aimed at accelerating sustainable WASH services for all. He is passionate about partnerships and collaborations of all stakeholders to management of water resources, a core to achieving sustainable development. Raymond has joined our East Africa Office in Uganda.
