Evaluation of a Dutch Food Security Country Program Bangladesh

Aidenvironment conducts an impact evaluation of the Dutch Food Security Country Program in Bangladesh over the period 2013-2015. The evaluation is done in a consortium of partners (Aidenvironment, APE, MDF, and Bangladesh BRAC University). The objective of the impact evaluation is to provide input for the policy review of the Dutch food security program 2012-2015, which serves accountability of the ministry to the parliament and as learning outcomes for policy development. The evaluation includes household-level surveys of two food security projects (Blue Gold and Safal) using control groups and a counterfactual with a baseline and an effect measurement. The approach makes use of a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods and takes into account relevant gender differentiations in surveys.
