Strengthening the business model for Safi Sana
MWF supported Safi Sana in developing a sound business model. Safi Sana, a Dutch organization with a local business in Ghana, treats waste from toilets and market places, turning it into biogas, electricity, and a high value fertilizer. The concept has been piloted on a small scale in Ghana, focusing on the exploitation of a public toilet and a local treatment unit.
MWF is currently strengthening the available business plan, developing an investment memorandum, and assisting Safi Sana with finding the right type of financiers to scale up the commercial pilot in Ghana.
