The Business Case of Land and Water – The Value Proposition of Natural Resources

A landscape is a well defined area of land that includes natural resources like water and soil, used by people or businesses, called landscape users. Landscape users can produce services or products to their clients. When landscape users and their clients invest in natural resources, they see increases in: 1) the value natural resources offer to the landscape users; and, 2) the quality and quantity of products and services landscape users offer to their clients. This is the essence of the business case for land and water. It is also refered to as the business case for conservation and restoration.
