Myrthe joined the Aidenvironment Supervisory Board in May 2019. But it was not her first time being engaged with the organisation; from 2004 to 2008 she worked as a (junior) consultant on numerous projects on the sustainability risks of agri-commodities. In 2008 she switched sides and joined SMK to work as program manager on sustainable forestry and sustainable biomass. Convinced that the financial sector is an important driver in the sustainability agenda, Myrthe joined the Strategy and Sustainability team of ABN AMRO in 2016. At the bank she is responsible for advising on the sustainability risks of clients and transactions. Myrthe holds a masters degree in Economics and in Political Science and has been a (supervisory) board member of several cultural and political organisations.
