Paul van Ruiten is member of the Supervisory Board since July 2017. Currently, he is Director within the environmental law enforcement agency DCMR. Besides that, he runs a training and consulting firm: Bureau Om. Paul started his career at the Ministry of Agriculture. He worked at the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Washington DC for the Ministry of Environment and joined the engineering consulting firm DHV for 14 years. During his period with DHV, he gained international experience through projects in eastern Europe and South-East Asia. He worked as the Country Representative for Indonesia for four years and as a Director of Environment and Sustainability for four years. During his period as the director, he managed the merger of the two environmental business units of DHV and Royal Haskoning. For two years, he was Director for Environment and Sustainability within the Institute of Applied Science (TNO). Other positions include chairmanship of the Committee for Landuse Planning and Environment of NL Engineers, Committtee for Landuse Planning of VNO NCW, Board of the Indonesian-Netherlands Association, Supervisory Board of Federation of Nature and the Environment Utrecht (NMU) and Advisory Board member of the Utrecht Sustainability Institute (USI).
